The Australian Catholic University (ACU) Branch of the National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) is calling on passionate, driven individuals to join us as a Union Industrial Organiser

  • Rewarding Package. Earn $96k-$119k + 17% superannuation, plus benefits and development opportunities.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Provide timely industrial support and advocacy for members.
  • Lead organising campaigns and recruitment initiatives that strengthen the union’s presence.
  • Drive collective bargaining efforts and negotiate fair outcomes for members.
  • Create and deliver impactful communications newsletters, leaflets, reports that engage and inspire.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with members, elected officers, and staff to grow our movement.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • A strong belief in unionism, equity, and social justice.
  • Experience in industrial support, organising, recruitment, or campaigning (union or community sector).
  • Exceptional people and communication skills confident speaking to individuals and groups.
  • Strong written skills with the ability to craft reports and formal submissions.
  • Negotiation expertise and experience settling workplace issues.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to use MS Office and other publishing tools.
  • Flexibility to travel interstate and a current driver’s licence.
